Body language is how a person communicates with gestures and actions of the body. Research shows that a major portion of our communication is through body language. Our facial gestures can show a smile, frown, unhappiness, surprise, or doubt. The major part of facial gestures are conveyed through eyes and lips. Apart from the face, the rest of the body also communicates the feelings or states of a person. For example, if the person has arms folded in the front or palms inside the pocket – it shows they are not very open.
