What is Cloud Computing? Learn Networking from Softlogic


Cloud computing is a new technology in IT industry which rapidly decreased the investment cost and increased the efficient usage of computers. Before cloud computing was introduced, the IT industries and companies used computers that require dedicated resources such as processors, memory and operating systems.

  In the year 2009, a new concept called “cloud computing” came into effect to revolutionize the way of computer working. The cloud computing allows to share the system resources (processors, storage devices, operating systems and applications) to create multiple virtual computing environment. It also implements an advanced concept called “Server Virtualizing” where many instances of server machine is initiated from a single resource. These virtual servers can communicates to client with the a help of application that has to be installed in the client machine (Similar to the working of web browsers).

ñ  Single resource can be utilized for multiple computers thereby reducing the cost of buying individual hardware resource
ñ  No need to buy separate licenses for each machine.
ñ  Purchasing and installing single application in cloud machine is enough for running that application in all client computers.
